Commerce Societies

“KAIZEN”- the commerce society organized freshers’ party on August 19, 2010. The department also came forward in organizing many events in annual college fest, like mock stocks, quizzes and case study competitions. Following are the individual achievements of the students of commerce department:
Achievements of 1^st year

• Gaurav Kahlan, secured 1^st position in YMCA basketball , LSR invitational Basketball tournament and St. Stephen’s invitational basketball tournament
• Tanay Mimami, won 1^st prize, Rs. 10000 in singing competition
• Madhav Agarwal , 1^st prize, Rs. 10000 in singing competition
• Shashank Kalra, Kunal Chikara, Rs. 500 voucher each in a competition held in SRCC
• Vibhuti Tamar, 2^nd position in IILM; 1^st position in IIIT Kanpur

Achievements of 2^nd year

• Karan Sardana, awarded best position paper award in the symbiosis MUN held in Pune
• Kushagr Dhingra, Karan Sardana and Nishit Agarwal, 3^rd position in Merger Mama competition, organised at Sri Venkateshwara College
• Karan Sardana, Manik Mahajan and Nishit Agarwal, 2^nd prize in B- Plan competition; St. Stephen’s college
• Kushagr Dhingra, Karan Sardana and Ankit Agarwal stood first in case conquest held in SRCC
• Kushagr Dhingra and Karan Sardana came 3^rd in the case study competition held in JMC. Their solution was judged best in the preliminary round
• Paresh and Vishesh won the second prize in mock stocks held during the college annual fest
• Rahul Ramesh, 1^st prize in street play, IIT Kanpur
• Prashant Malik, the bass guitarist in Alankar, came 1^st in an event held by an NGO

Achievements of 3^rd year

• Rishabh Patawari, 3^rd position; Investomania, Hindu College
• Jashan Khattar, 3^rd postion; Investomania
• Aditi Anand, 2nd position in BITS Pilani; 1^st prize, Rs. 4500, in Law School
• Vichitra Malhotra, cleared actuarial papers; CT4,CT5 & CT7 (among 9 students who cleared who all the three papers)
• Pankaj Sarawage, cleared actuarial papers, CT1 & CT2
