Hindu College Library is one of the oldest among Delhi University college libraries. It came into existence along with the foundation of the college in 1899. The Collection of the library at present consists of more then one-lakh books , about a thousand bound volumes of learned journals and about a hundred maps. The range of subjects of the collection includes :

 (a) Social Sciences : History, Political Science, Economics, Commerce and Sociology.

 (b) Sciences and Technology : Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics.

 (c) Applied Siences : Electronics and Engineering.

 (d) Humanities : Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Philosophy.

            In addition to the above listed subjects, the library has a rich collection of books on Art, Literature, Religion, Civilisation, General Knowledge and Sports. Apart from books, the library regularly subscribes to a large number of daily newspapers, a wide variety of popular magazines and a large number of learned journals , both Indian and Foreign.
